With the high number of unemployment today because of recession there are now several grants for unemployed women offered by the government in order for these women to provide money for their family. In this generation today wherein females are now accepted in the work force, there are now many projects that the government can offer for them.

But nowadays, it is either you have the money to start your own business or you have finished a degree in order to have a stable job and not all women have either both because of lack of money or they got married early and had kids or they haven’t finished any degree. That is why the government thought of a way to help them by offering grants for unemployed women.
Different Grants for Unemployed Women
- Educational Grants – This type of grant is offered by the government to women who are willing to have their degree in order to find a job. Some government offers scholarship to them and when they graduate they have a permanent job waiting for them. While other governments offer scholarship but the person needs to serve their country for a certain period of time before they can go out of the country and work abroad. Regardless of the agreement, this is a grant that offers educational help for interested women.
- Training Grants – These are grants for unemployed women wherein they are offered by their government a free training course. It is somewhat similar to an education grant but this is more on job trainings. They are given the opportunity to have job training without worrying about the expenses because the government will provide for the living, transportation and even child care costs just like the Washington State’s Work First Program wherein it is a grant for unemployed women who have low income. They are provided with temporary cash assistance. The Massachusetts Office of Labor and Workforce Redevelopment offer job trainings to their residents as well.
- Business Grants – Women who want to have their own business can now avail grants for unemployed women that their government offers. There is a financial assistance that the government can give to women who wishes to start their own business but is having problem on where to get their starting capital. It is basically like a loan wherein they can borrow money but they need to repay it back when they are earning already. Some government can even offer not only financial help but can also offer business counselling and training. In that way women are not only given the chance to have their own business but they are also given some advice regarding their business plan and can make adjustments through the things they have learned in the training. Due to the many grants the government offers, many unemployed women can now earn for their family. Surely, these grants for unemployed women can be a big help if women can only learn how to grab the opportunity.
